Pradeep honours own institute’s NEET toppers
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Founder and MD of Parishrama Group and Congress MLA from Chikkabalapura Pradeep Eshwar felicitated National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) toppers from his Institute.
The programme took place at Poornima Palace in Kengeri on Mysore Road in Bengaluru on Saturday. NEET is a pan-India entrance test taken by students who wish to pursue medical sciences.
NEET toppers from Parishrama Group were headed by one Gouri Santosh Gunda who scored 697 marks out of a possible 720. Adya Hegde stood second with 690 marks, followed by Harshita K with 676 marks and Keerthana MJ with 668 marks.
About 20 students were honoured on the occasion. Pradeep said that he was delighted to point out that out of the 250 seats available at Bangalore Medical College, 180 graduates were from Parisharama.
He added that it would be a matter of great pride if doctors who received coaching at his institute would treat people at Bengaluru’s Victoria Hospital.
“Parisharama should become a boon for the poor and people from remote places in north Karnataka,” he said.
Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Madhu Bangarappa, Higher Education Minister MC Sudhakar and Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Development Minister DK Shivakumar were also in attendance. Bangarappa heaped praise on Pradeep and his institution.
“I would like to say to Pradeep Eshwar, who is a friend and a colleague, that you strove very hard to rise and set up the Parisharama Institute. May it become a source of blessings for you,” Madhu said.
Exam irregularities noted: Sudhakar
Sudhakar on the other hand touched on the fact that there had been irregularities in the NEET 2024 exam conducted on May 4, adding that the matter was being discussed by the State government.
BDA site for Parishrama
Shivakumar confirmed that Parishrama group would be granted a site under the BDA. “People have given me a pen and paper (euphemism for power).
We will get you a site and a new building. That is something you need not worry about,” Shivakumar told Pradeep.
“I am grateful to the Deputy Chief Minister for instructing the BDA officials to provide us with CA sites in Bangalore. This will allow the Parishrama Institute to operate independently in its own building,” Pradeep said.
