Khalid gets prestigious Bronze Wolf award

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Mr. M A Khalid, a retired Karnataka Administrative Service officer is being conferred with the highest international award in the field of Scouts and Guides called the ‘Bronze Wolf ’.

So far, out of the total number of 395 Bronze Wolf award recipients in the world since its inception in 1935, only four Indians have received this award.

Smt. Lakshmi Mazumdar in the year 1969, Sardar Lakshman Singh in the year 1986, Ranga Rao in the year 1994 and L.M. Jain in the year 2008. M. A. Khalid is the fifth Indian awardee.

The award comes for his active contribution to regional and global task forces and for making significant contributions in strengthening the scout movement.

The award will be conferred on him in the ensuing World Scout Conference in Cairo scheduled on 23rd August. M.A.Khalid has attained great heights of professional excellence in the field of Scouts & Guides.

He has received numerous national and international awards and the Bronze Wolf award is his crowning achievement. He is a source of inspiration to youngsters with his devotion to this field and for his discipline.
