The intensified crackdown aims to address the alarming increase in alcohol-related accidents, particularly on highways. Offenders face fines ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000, and their vehicles are seized. In addition to enforcement, the police are educating the public about the dangers of drunk driving.
