Assault on woman who threw stones at stray dogs

NT Correspondent Bengaluru: A man has been accused of assaulting a woman in the middle of the road and snatching her scooter key after she allegedly threw stones at stray dogs. The incident took place at NRI Layout on the afternoon of October 23, and an FIR was registered at Ramamurthy Nagar Police Station based on the woman’s complaint. According to the complaint, the woman and her friends were riding a scooter when they were chased by stray dogs.

After moving some distance, the woman stopped her scooter and threw stones at the dogs. At that point, a man approached, took her scooter key, and questioned her actions, allegedly asking, “Why did you throw stones at the dogs?” He reportedly pushed her, hit her on the forehead, and assaulted her.

Later, the accused’s family intervened, explained the situation, and returned her scooter key, according to the woman’s complaint. An FIR has been registered at Ramamurthy Nagar Police Station, but the police have not named him in the FIR or questioned him.
