Deepavali: 5 more special trains added from Bengaluru

As many as five more special trains will operate from Bengaluru due to a rush of passengers traveling home for Deepavali. On Monday, South West Railway (SWR) had announced that they alone were operating 55 special trains to meet the passenger demand during the festive season. The first special train is between Bengaluru and Barauni city in Begusarai district in Bihar, which will undertake a single trip in each direction. The train will leave Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru at 9:15 pm next Monday and reach Barauni at 8 pm on Wednesday. In the return direction, the train will leave Barauni at 10 am on November 9 and reach SMVT Bengaluru at 1:30 pm on November 11.
The second train is the Konkan Railway one-way special express train from Karwar to SMVT on Sunday. The train will leave Karwar at 12 noon on Sunday to reach Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal at 4 am on Monday. The third train is the SMVT Bengaluru to Madgaon city in Goa. It will be a single trip in one direction. The train will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 6 am on Monday and reach Madgaon Junction at 7:35 pm the same day. The fourth is the unreserved train from Kochuveli station in north Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala to SMVT Bengaluru. The train will depart from Kochuveli at 6:05 pm on Monday and arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 10:55 am on Tuesday. In the return direction, the train will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 12:45 pm on Tuesday and reach Kochuveli at 5 am on Wednesday.
The fifth train is being operated by North Eastern Railway (NER) between Chhapra city in Saran district of Bihar to Bengaluru for two trips in either direction. The train will depart from Chhapra at 5:30 am on Saturday and November 9 and arrive in Yeshwantpur station in Bengaluru at 10:30 am on Monday. In the return direction, the train will leave Yeshwantpur at 10:40 pm on Monday and November 11 and reach Chhapra at 11:55 pm on Wednesday and November 13 respectively.
