In a breakthrough, Annapoorneshwari Nagar police have apprehended three suspects involved in stealing luxury cars. The trio, who had travelled from Rajasthan to Bengaluru, specifically targeted high-end vehicles, employing sophisticated hacking techniques to access and steal the cars. According to police sources, the suspects utilised specialised software to hack into the cars’ systems, allowing them to unlock the doors effortlessly. Once inside, they swiftly escaped with the stolen vehicles. This method allowed the gang to evade detection for some time; however, their luck ran out when the police, acting on a series of complaints, traced the recent thefts to their operation. Upon investigating, police found that the group was linked to multiple car thefts not only in Bengaluru but also in nearby areas.
The investigation remains active as authorities seek to identify other members of the gang and any stolen vehicles still in their possession. This arrest has brought relief to residents, as luxury car thefts have become a growing concern in the region. Further inquiries are underway, with police working to retrieve additional stolen property and prevent similar crimes in the future. The suspects reportedly used advanced car hacking software that could bypass the vehicles’ security systems. By hacking into the electronic locking mechanism, they could enter and start the car without needing a physical key. Victims of the theft have described their frustration over the repeated incidents, with some considering added security measures or advanced tracking systems for their vehicles.
