The drive aimed to address the rising number of offences committed by delivery riders, who often work under tight deadlines. The offences spanned over 12 categories, including no parking, riding without helmets, and unauthorised entry into restricted zones.

Other significant offences included 1,260 instances of vehicles parked in no-parking zones, 671 cases of unauthorised entry into noentry zones and 523 cases of riding on footpaths. Additionally, while e-bikes used for short deliveries are exempt from helmet and documentrelated violations under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, the police imposed fines for other infractions such as riding on footpaths, parking on footpaths, riding against oneway traffic, and jumping traffic signals.
