Bike skids, rider falls and is fatally run over by car

An accident occurred in the Kamakshipalya Traffic Police Station area, where a motorbike rider, identified as Shasikumar (20), died instantly after falling onto the road and being run over by a car. Shasikumar, a native of Bagepalli, worked in a fabrication factory near Thigalarapalya in Peenya. According to the traffic police, he was on his way home after work around 3.00 am on Wednesday. While riding at a high speed near 14th Cross, Thigalarapalya, a white car reportedly crossed his path.

He lost control of his bike on a patch of mud, skidded for about 50 metres, and he fell to the ground. Tragically, the car ran over him, leading to his death on the spot. The police are investigating the possibility that the car driver may have acted deliberately. Efforts are underway to trace the vehicle through its registration number. After a post-mortem at Victoria Hospital, the body was handed over to Shasikumar's family. Kamakshipalya traffic police have registered a case and commenced an investigation.
