Members of the women’s wing of the Aam Aadmi Party lit a firewood stove in front of Freedom Park here to protest against the rise in prices of fuel and essential commodities.

About 70 men and women from different units of the Aam Aadmi Party called out the BJP-led governments for failing to keep up their promises. A domestic LPG cylinder was garlanded as a mark of protest against rising fuel prices.

Criticising the Centre, AAP spokesperson Usha Mohan said, “Is this the women empowerment your government talks about?”
