AAP leaders decry Siddu, HDK and BJP remarks
By NT Correspondent
Bengaluru: AAP leaders on Saturday decried comments by three major parties against a recent rally by Arvind Kejriwal in the city.
Taking note of Congress leader Siddaramaiah’s sarcastic remark that AAP was a ‘big party’, AAP leaders replied that the centuryold party has shown that it cannot defeat the BJP, while AAP has shown that a small party could win elections due to its pro-people approach.
Referring to the BJP government’s scheme of free electricity to SC/ST families in Karnataka, AAP State Convener Prithvi Reddy questioned why the BJP was copying AAP after criticizing its similar initiative in Delhi.
JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy reportedly questioned what AAP could do to eliminate corruption in Karnataka. Prithvi Reddy retorted that HDK had given up, and asked what he had done to curb corruption despite being Chief Minister twice.
AAP’s Mohan Dasari said that HDK had no moral authority to talk about AAP, as he had no experience building a party from scratch.
