Bescom to take up 1,146 transformers for maintenance in 48 hrs

Bengaluru: Under transformer maintenance campaign initiated by the Energy Department , the BESCOM has taken up the maintenance works of 1146 transformers in two days.

The ten days transformer maintenance campaign has been initiated by the Minister for Energy V. Sunil Kumar from May5th to 15th across the state.

Within two days, the BESCOM has completed the maintenance works of 1146 transformers in the 8 districts of its limits. On first day of inauguration of campaign (May 5, 2022), the BESCOM has finished 542 and on second day it has completed 604 transformers maintenance works. Details of transformers maintenance works : West circle- 105, South circle94, East circle – 96. BMAZ circle- 199, North circle-135, BMAZ north circle- 231, BRC - 69, Ramanagara circle -122, Kolar-171, Tumakuru-154, BRAZ-362, Davangere circle-200 and in CTAZ -354 taken up for maintenance works in two days. In ten days campaign, the BESCOM will do facelift of transformers, shifting, auditing and replacement of new transformers.
