Bengaluru: Preparations are still under way at the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) for the announcement of SSLC Examination results. Meanwhile, several media outlets have said that the results are likely to be out in the third week of May.

An official at KSEEB told News Trail on Monday that no official announcement has been made regarding the date of announcement of results.

An appeal regarding the announcement of results has been submitted to the State Minister for Primary and Secondary Education B.C. Nagesh from the Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM). “We have requested the minister that the results be announced during the first week of June,” Shivanand Sindhanker, General Secretary of ABRSM told News Trail. Shivanand, who is also a lecturer at Maharaja PU College in Mysuru, said that the request was made in view of the Pre-university examination. “Since the PU exams are on till May 18, it would be inconvenient if students who pass SSLC begin approaching PU colleges for admission. Moreover, PU lecturers will get busy with evaluation after the exams and cannot focus on tasks related to admission,” he explained. He also said that the evaluation of SSLC exam answer scripts has been completed.

KSEEB has also planned multiple helplines for the benefit of students as well as headmasters and teachers across the state. “There will be a helpline to assist students with the procedure and also to attend to technical issues. There will also be a helpline for students who require counselling and support after the announcement of SSLC results,” an official said, adding that the details of the helpline will be available only after the board’s announcement.
