Online passes to enter Nandi Hills not available

Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) has discontinued issuing online passes for tourists travelling to Nandi Hills. Visitors planning a trip to the popular tourist destination are required to obtain a pass to drive to the top of the hill. Until recently, the passes were being issued both at the spot as well as online. However, the online option is now unavailable as the software for the same is reportedly being updated. A KSTDC employee told News Trail that visitors can obtain passes at the foot of the Nandi Hills. However, the number of vehicles that will be allowed to the hilltop at a time will remain the same. Tourists who arrive after the entry of 300 cars and 1000 twowheelers will have to wait for their turn, according to the official. Regarding the restoration of the online facility, the official said, “The update will take some time, but tourists can still visit Nandi Hills and get the pass offline.”
