Are you ready for Ghalata-E-Dakhnistan?
Local rapper ‘Pasha Bhai’ will make Bengaluru come alive tonight
Bengaluru’s favourite rapper, Pasha Bhai will be in full swing on Friday evening as he is performing not one but two shows on the same night.
The first is Ghalata-E-Dakhnistan happening at Bangalore International Center which will be an evening of hip hop, poetry, and storytelling with his whole crew Clan Bokka Phod.
The second is where he will be performing at Juce’22 at Fandom in Koramangala alongside a line-up of artists featuring MC Cooper, Kalla Sha, and Smokey the Ghost, among others.
On being asked what one can expect from the shows, Pasha said “Ghalata hone wala hai” (‘There will be an uproar’).
The event at BIC will present the audience with a deep understanding of the city’s Dakhni rap scene, but the evening won’t be about just hip hop. There will also be Mushaira (poetry) and storytelling. The atmosphere is expected to be more educational with a fair bit of fun. “A lot of things that need to be addressed about the Dakhni language will be said here at this event,” said Pasha.
“At Fandom, it is a line-up featuring 12-13 artists from across South India, and we hope to carry the same energy from one gig to the next,” he said, jokingly adding that here there will be ‘maara-thodi’. “The whole day is one big event for me and I am really looking forward to it.”
If you’re in the mood for hip hop, these are the places you need to be.
