Covid: City adds four new clusters

The number of active clusters in the city went up from 12 to 16, with four new clusters in the Yelahanka Zone. On Sunday, the BBMP recorded 429 new cases. The total number of active cases in the city now stands at 3,496.

A total of 16,845 tests were conducted on June 12. The positivity rate (for the last seven days) was 2.61%.

According to the BBMP, 196 patients have recovered from the infection during the same period.

A total of 2,003 children aged between 12 and 14 got their first dose and 3,185 children in the same age group were given the second dose. In the 15-18 years group, 363 got the first and 9,362 got the second dose of COVID- 19 vaccination. Precaution doses were given to 14,501 people.

Around 28 Covid patients were hospitalized and no deaths due to COVID-19 were recorded on Sunday.
