BJP leader: Siddu got money from 'influential'
Bengaluru: Ruling BJP leader NR Ramesh has alleged that former CM and Congress leader Siddaramaiah received money from influential people when he was CM. Addressing a press conference in the city, Ramesh made serious allegations against Siddaramaiah and said that he will file a complaint with the Karnataka Lokayukta on Monday.
“When Siddaramaiah became CM, he received money from an influential person,” claimed Ramesh. He also released a document on Sunday alleging that Siddaramaiah received 1.3 crores through a cheque from L. Vivekananda of King's Court.
“In 2014, Vivekananda was appointed to the post of secretary of Bangalore Turf Club for a period of 3 years. Vikenanda gave crores of money to the former CM. Siddaramaiah had given false information to the Lokayukta and the State Election Commission that he had received a loan from Vivekananda,” claimed Ramesh.
He has decided to file a complaint with the Karnataka Lokayukta on Monday. Siddararamaiah however brushed aside the allegations claiming that he had taken a loan from an old friend to buy property adding that there was no illegality in the transaction.
