Foreign drug peddlers arrested by CCB anti-narcotics squad

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The CCB Anti-Narcotics Squad has arrested two foreign nationals involved in drug peddling. They were selling synthetic drugs, including MDMA crystals. Authorities seized 82 grams of MDMA, valued at Rs 9 lakh, during the operation. The accused were reportedly targeting college students, supplying drugs to this vulnerable group. According to sources, one gram of MDMA was being sold for Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000, making it a lucrative illegal business. Both suspects had come to Bengaluru on tourist visas but soon became full-time drug peddlers, abandoning legitimate pursuits. Their operation gained traction among students, posing a serious threat to public health and safety.

The arrests are part of an ongoing effort by the CCB to crack down on drugrelated crimes, especially in educational institutions across the city. A case has been registered at Kadugodi police station, and authorities are investigating the backgrounds and networks of the accused. Police are working to determine if the suspects are part of a larger drug trafficking syndicate operating in Bengaluru or other regions. There is suspicion that the duo might have links to an international drug cartel.
